Liability Disclaimer
1. Scope
This Liability Disclaimer applies to all services provided by The Beaufort Co. It should be read in conjunction with the individual service agreement signed by each client prior to engagement.
2. Care and Diligence
The Beaufort Co takes the utmost care when working within client properties. Our team is fully trained, professionally supervised, and held to the highest standards of conduct. We treat every property and its contents with the respect and discretion that our clients deserve.
3. Pre-Existing Conditions
The Beaufort Co accepts no liability for damage to items or surfaces that are fragile, damaged, incorrectly installed, or whose condition has not been disclosed prior to the commencement of service. Clients are requested to identify any items of exceptional value or particular delicacy before service begins.
4. Limitation of Liability
In the event of accidental damage caused directly by our team during the course of service, The Beaufort Co’s liability shall be limited to the fair market replacement or repair value of the affected item. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or economic losses arising from such damage.
5. High-Value Items
Clients are advised to ensure that high-value items, including but not limited to antiques, art, jewellery, and luxury goods, are appropriately insured. The Beaufort Co strongly recommends that such items are removed, secured or clearly identified before any service visit. We reserve the right to decline responsibility for damage to items not disclosed in advance.
6. Insurance
The Beaufort Co holds appropriate public liability insurance. Details of our insurance cover are available upon request.
7. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for any failure to perform services resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather, illness, or emergency conditions.
